The Auburn Records annual Christmas food drive concert is a gala event for the metal community. Cleveland metal fan "Iron Ingo" comes over from Germany to help emcee the jam-packed evening, which features 14 headbanging local bands, both veterans and newcomers. It's free; just bring a donation for the Foodbank or animal shelter. Sat 12/6.

The juicy tomatoes of August are long gone from area farmers markets and most of the markets have closed until next spring. But that doesn't mean you can't still shop local for all those holiday parties and dinners coming up. There are markets on the east and west sides and downtown that are still open weekly offering a range of tasty, organic, locally grown, raised and produced items (just not tomatoes) to inspire a holiday feast.
