Composer/conductor Pierre Boulez is one of the greatest living classical musicians. As a composer he staked out ground in the atonal avant-garde early in his career, but he's worked in many styles. As a conductor, he's worked with virtually every major orchestra in the world. He spend two years in the early ’70s as Musical Advisor to the Cleveland Orchestra, which will be honoring his 90th birthday this week, playing some of his works as well as works he's conducted with the Orchestra.
