Ryan Humbert has brought a lot of energy to the Akron music scene as an organizer, encourager, catalyst, and especially as a performing and recording artist. His newest album Half Way Home, which he'll debut at the Kent Stage this week, contains another dozen tracks of his timeless pop/folk/country as good as anything out there. Fri 11/7.

The two locally owned Mustard Seed Markets specialize in healthy organically grown and raised items and foods with no additives. They also offer classes and workshops like the upcoming ones on making vegan food that's tasty and satisfying and eating an anti-inflammatory diet while still enjoying traditional fall holiday flavors like pumpkin. * Come cheer on your favorite barista at Throw Down Thursday at Rising Star Coffee Roasters' new Little Italy location. They'll be competing in a latte art tournament, and if you'd rather drink latte, their full menu will be available to partake as you watch.
