Mike's Barn the venue no longer exists but its spirit lives on. One of its signature shows was its annual Broadside of the Barn, with some of the area's most talented women performers. It's back for the 10th year at the Music Box, with Mary Bridget Davies (pictured) returning form NYC to join a roster of the event's past regulars plus newcomers. If spending the holiday cooking burgers on a grill isn't your thing, head down to Little Italy for La Dolce Vita Bistro's Peaches & Wine Summer Harvest Party. Not only will there be peaches and wine, but also pastas and pizzas made with tomatoes, eggplant, zucchini, onions and basil from local gardens and farms. Mon 9/7.* Also making use of all that local harvest, now at its peak, is the Coit Road Farm Market. Its Cinco de Setiembre Taco Party will offer tacos with salsa and toppings made with produce available from the vendors a few steps away. Sat 9/5.
