It's hard to believe the Grog Shop has been around 22 years. In that time, a diverse army of bands has been through its two locations on Coventry Road. It's celebrating its anniversary with a free show featuring the Secret Soul Club DJs plus two newer local bands, Nowhere and Shale Satans. Sat 9/12.

Community gardening has become huge in Cleveland, with a handful of longtime gardens joined by dozens of new ones. The OSU Extension's Summer Sprout program provides materials and advice to gardeners so if you're interested in joining this burgeoning trend, attend a Summer Sprout informational meeting at one of six library branches. * Think there's nothing growing in East Cleveland? EC Grows is a large community garden across from the Coit Farmers Market. They're holding a Harvest Festival to show off their bounty. Sat 9/13.
