How To Submit Your Event, Listing or Opinion

Have an event or opinion that you want to share? A review of a recent concert, business talk or public event? A gripe about Cool Cleveland? You've come to the right page.

The easiest way to submit events or announcements for consideration in Cool Cleveland is to send us an e-mail to EventsAtCoolClevelandDotCom. Going forward, put that e-mail address in your mailing list and keep us plugged into what you're up to.

If you want to submit a letter to the editor, an op-ed, a commentary, a rant, an event, a sponsorship/advertising inquiry, or just get in touch with our people behind the scenes, you can use the form below. Please remember to include your phone number so we can contact you. We reserve the right to publish anything you submit along with your name and e-mail address. We can't publish everything we receive, but we *promise* to review your submission as soon as possible and select the coolest ones to showcase in our e-blast, blogs, videos and podcasts.

If you are submitting a music CD or printed materials, please send it to: 14837 Detroit #105, Cleveland, Ohio 44107. Cool Cleveland reviews Cleveland-based music, art, theatre, dance, business and technology events, ethnic and religious activities, and other Cleveland-specific events and activities. We are unable to return materials submitted, and we cannot guarantee coverage, but we do promptly review all materials.

If you�re submitting an event below, be sure to include its title, date, time, and location, as well as any website links. Please cut and paste the text from your Word documents or press releases into the Description box below, as we cannot accept attachments.

Events should be submitted at least three weeks in advance for a shot at making it into the Cool Cleveland e-zine.

Got an event that you would like to see listed in Cool Cleveland? Here are a few tips to improve your chances of getting listed, and getting results.

1. Make sure that you include a complete listing. This saves us time and effort and improves your chances of getting listed. Don�t forget to include your:

a. Event name

b. Event date

c. Event times (start and finish)

d. Event location

e. Event address (One of the most often neglected pieces of information)

f. A contact number or email address for questions

g. Your web site URL or address (Very important and often neglected)

2. Make us care about your event. Be passionate about it and sell it to our readers. Include info like:

a. Who will be there? (List guest speakers, local celebs, performers, etc.)

b. Will there be music? What type of music? (Indie, hip hop, smooth jazz, live performance, DJ)

c. Will food & drink will be served; if so, what type? (Appetizers, cheese, Asian fare)

d. What crowd are you trying to reach? (Family, young professionals, 21+)

e. Most importantly, what is the Cleveland connection? Why is this one of the coolest things happening in our region?

3. Submit your event in a timely manner:

a. Don�t wait until the last minute to submit your event. Send it to us as soon as possible.

b. Try to submit your listing at least two weeks ahead of the actual date.

It is always a great idea to have your press release or complete event info available for viewing on your website. That way Cool Cleveland readers can get all of the details on your event that we won�t be able to include in the small event blurb. For an added punch, include this link when you submit your event. With so many top-notch events and programs going on in our region, it is a shame that more of us don�t know about these wonderful happenings. So, don�t be shy. If you�ve got an uber cool event that is of interest to our readers submit it; just make sure that it�s complete.
