SPONSORED: Jaylin is 15 with a natural ability to take words and transform them into powerful stories. She often is tucked away reading or writing poetry. She dreams of writing a novel to inspire others with her strength and joy. Consider becoming a mentor and giving Jaylin what she deserves—an adult in her life who cares about her.

Adoption Network Cleveland is working to recruit at least 50 new adult mentors for youth in foster care by the end of 2008. A mentor termed a “permanency champion” can help a youth transition to adulthood successfully, who might otherwise be alone in facing the prospect of aging out of foster care without a permanent family.

Adoption Network Cleveland’s Permanency Champion Program includes monthly outings as well as one-on-one interactions to discuss future goals and life challenges.
