Stephanie Morrison-Hrbek & Bob Navis, Near West Theatre's executive director and artistic director, discuss their upcoming production Jacques Brel Is Alive and Well and Living in Paris, which runs May 3-19, 2013.
Considering the wide range of themes in the show (war, death, loss, aging, loneliness, love), they ask whether Brel is an idealist or a realist. In fact, he's both, and the production, transformed from a 4-person cabaret act to a cast of 34, is a powerful expression of the human condition.

It's hard to imagine how you could enjoy seafood that's any fresher. Heinen's seafood buyer & merchandiser Marty Gaul speaks on the phone directly with the fishermen on the boats, tells them what she wants, and they overnight fresh seafood directly to Heinen's stores. "We place a call by one 'o clock today, and the product will be here tomorrow," says Marty.
Not only that, the seafood is being delivered direct from some of the finest fishing area in the 50 states. "We get it five or six days a week, direct from Alaska, Honolulu, Boston and the state of Washington."
Listen as Marty proudly shows off her Halibut, Tuna and Swordfish from Hawaii or Boston, Mahi and Monchong from Hawaii, Yellow Perch from Lake Erie, and an overnight package of Sockeye Salmon that has just arrived from Alaska. "As you can see, the product comes in with these gel packs on it to keep the product below 40 degrees. The care that is taken is absolutely amazing."
Marty is even amazed herself. "Those fish are still jumping. They have to put ice on them to settle them down. You're not going to get anything fresher than this. It's absolutely beautiful." Heinens.com

Two examples of how prisoners are treated in Cuyahoga County -- and elsewhere -- have been in the news lately, if not quite making headlines.

Remove The Elevated Shoreway Many of the other elevated highways that have been removed with positive results in other cities have been stubs of highways that were never completed, and were lightly used as a result. The Shoreway, on the other hand, has traffic of 38,000 vehicles per day...
