Baldwin Wallace University's Conservatory's dream of going all Steinway has almost come to fruition. Way back in 2011, students at Baldwin Wallace University decided to perform live The Beatles' Abbey Road album straight using their own instruments and voices and arrangement in a 99-seat recital hall.
The next year's student musical body followed up with Sgt. Pepper, then Magical Mystery Tour and finally The White Album. In 2015, the current students, led by festival coordinators Patrick Peralta & Michael Simile, begin repeating the cycle with Abbey Road, in the fashion of BW's legendary Bach Festival, this time selling out two shows in the 500-seat John Patrick Kleist Theatre within 24 hours.

Christy Walkuski runs the office of community outreach and service learning at Baldwin Wallace University.
What that really means is that she helps BW students connect with the Greater Cleveland community with engagement programs such as Archwood House, where students live in a Cleveland neighborhood and get involved. CoolCleveland met up with Christy at Experience CLE, where groups like the Cleveland Metroparks, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (and CoolCleveland!) talked with students about getting involved in the region.
