Cats On Holiday is really excited about our date at the Parkview this Thu 4/30. Drew Carey's production company, "Reason TV" has chosen The Cats to be a part of their documentary about Cleveland. We are not quite sure what the theme of the film is, since they are keeping it under wraps at this time, but it seems they want to feature Cleveland artists that have eked out an existence and actually "like it here". They were quite taken with the "working man/blue-collar " themes that are featured in COH's recordings and are planning on using it as a soundtrack throughout the film. They have chosen the horn driven "Gotta Be Down" as the opening sound track. They are also interested in filming the band performing "Butterball", "Halloween"," Walk Johnny "and "Workin Man". The band will be performing from 6:30-8:30, taking a break to do an interview, then coming back for a small set. The Parkview is located just North of West 58th and Detroit.(ph.216 961 1341) The bar has great reasonably priced food and is one of The Cat's favorite places to gig. Get there early we are expecting a big crowd. As Heaton said in his PD article on Friday, "wear your good clothes, you might be on camera". The band and I hope to see you. from Cool Cleveland reader Denis Devito http://www.CatsOnHoliday.com
