Days after the NFL Hall of Fame in Canton inducted six of its newest members, I found myself sitting in a small golf pro shop about 5 miles from its steps. I had just learned of a golf course in East Canton that I doubt is well known by many in the sports world, unless they have been asked to play as a celebrity in Clearview Golf Club's annual celebrity tournament.
Much to my surprise, I learned that some of the NFL's greatest Hall of Famers will find their way back to East Canton only weeks after their induction ceremonies to golf on the very course I found myself visiting, Clearview Golf Club.
Check out an exclusive Cool Cleveland video with Renee Powell, LPGA Pro-Am, Owner of Clearview Golf Club, and daughter of Clearview founder William "Bill" Powell, where Sean Tuttle learns about the historic golf course, the story of the brave man who built it, and a golf outing that is the stuff of sports fan dreams.

The Rowdy Indie Craft Fair was my first craft show, ever. It's not that I don't enjoy handmade products or buying local, I just haven't had the opportunity to attend one. As a transplant from Pittsburgh who is just getting to know the Akron area, the local craft scene isn't familiar to me. I was excited to head out to Studio 526 this past Sun 8/14 to experience something new.
Check out this exclusive Cool Cleveland video for an inside look at the Rowdy Indie Craft Fair. You'll meet some of the artists, see their handcrafted masterpieces and find a dozen reasons to add this brand new Akron craft show to your calendar for next year.
It's been a long time coming, says the Rock Hall's Chief Curator and VP of Exhibitions and Curatorial Affairs Jim Henke, but Women Who Rock: Vision, Passion, Power is finally putting the spotlight on female rockers like Tina Turner, Madonna, and NEO's own Chrissie Hynde.
In this exclusive interview, Henke explains how the exhibition covers women rock performers from the "Foremothers" like Mahalia Jackson and Billie Holiday in the '20's, all the way through Lady Gaga's meat dress that caused controversy just last year. Watch this video and get the deets here.
By sitting with his eyes tight shut (was he sleeping or only pretending?) during the sentencing phase of his murder trial, refusing to acknowledge the pain and emotions of the families of his victims as they -- one-by-one -- castigated him for being the monster that he is, Anthony Sowell won the tug of war over his humanity...

Dancers look different onstage. Theatrical lighting, costuming, and cosmetics all conspire to transform the person we had seen in the studio or at the shopping mall. Time can cause the biggest transformation of all.
Former Clevelander Yumelia Garcia was so changed dancing for the Joffrey Ballet that we had to verify it was the same person... Read the interview w/ Yumelia Garcia here
