Cool Cleveland talks with the delightful stars of Emma

How is it possible that a story written in 1816 is still so popular, so often performed, so assiduously adapted and so earnestly remixed? Seriously, plug in Jane Austen's Emma in YouTube and you'll see what we mean.

Watch the video interview with the delightful stars of The Cleveland Play House's Michael Bloom-penned adaptation of Emma: Sarah Nealis [pictured, right], who plays the mischievous Emma, and Carolyn Faye Kramer, portraying the young Harriet, Emma's "project" who she tries to match with a husband, to hilarious effect.

Fans will remember the 1995 film Clueless, a contemporary updating of the classic novel, and the many period film versions, most recently, a sharp reading by the BBC in 2010. But nothing compares with seeing it live, on stage at the Cleveland Play House from Fri 2/26 thru Sun 3/21. More info
