Singer-songwriter Melissa Etheridge and Rep. Dennis Kucinich appeared together last Wednesday for a fundraising shindig for Kucinich's congressional re-election campaign. The event, held at Cleveland Public Theatre, drew a good audience and included a pre-event reception with complimentary drinks and hors d'oeuvres. The event doubled as a birthday nod to Kucinich's wife Elizabeth, which fell on the very same day. Etheridge, a Grammy-winning rock icon, passionate activist, Oscar winner and breast cancer survivor, electrified the crowd.
