Michael Gill's Common Household Rhymes for the Modern Child is a limited edition book of original pictures and rhymes, printed with wood blocks and moveable type, entirely made by hand, by the author, in Cleveland. The rhymes play in the realm of domestic life: there are cats, mice, an orange fish, a bicycle ride in the depopulated city at night, a workbench cluttered with tools, and the true fact that adults get to stay up much later than children do.
This unique book makes its public debut during a reception from 6-9PM on Fri 12/2 at William Busta Gallery. Mike explains it all in this video.
