Visit Kamm's Corners Farmers Market this Sun 8/28 from 10AM to 1PM to enjoy man, a guitar, and some lovingly etched songs as much about his native Northern Ohio as the passages and hallways of his own heart. View the video of Alex Bevan here.

But for the people who've never heard Alex Bevan, the "Skinny Little Boy (From Cleveland, Ohio)", they are missing a kaleidoscope of heroic tales of regular people ("Rodeo Rider," the NYC street saxman "Jazzbo"), pure love that we all want ("Carey Come Smiling," "Grand River Lullaby"), yearning that pulls us ("Silver Wings," "Welcome Home") and mirth that comes with a wink and a giggle ("Streamline"). More details here.

Join Kamm's Corners Farmers Market volunteer Steve Lorenz this Sun 7/24 as he shows you how to prepare sweet corn in the husk over charcoal. The corn is plentiful at the market, which takes place every Sunday from 10AM-1PM.

Learn how to perfectly roast the corn to bring out it’s maximum sweetness, and then stick around for a hot, buttery sample! The demonstration will take place this Sunday at 11:30AM. Enjoy your corn with a healthy dose of musician Roger Hoover performing 10AM-1PM, and shop our bevy of market vendors for the freshest vegetables, meat, bread and many other great products.

Celebrating its 10th season, the Kamm's Corners Farmers Market opens this Sun 6/12 at 16806 Albers Avenue, Cleveland.

On Sun 6/26, from 10:30AM to noon, they will host a rain barrel workshop, presented by the Cuyahoga Soil & Water Conservation District.

A sign that northeast Ohio's farmers market scene has come of age is the number of markets celebrating their 10th anniversary this year. One of those is the Kamm's Corners Farmers Market which kicks off the season this Sunday with music by Jim Volk, a chef demo by AMP150 and the usual array of local vendors and artisans. Sun 6/12.

* It's not like we don't have enough local breweries here in Cleveland. But if you'd like to try something from a bit further away, Cleveland Heights' Wine Spot is hosting a pop-up event to showcase beers from Athens, Ohio craft brewery Jackie O's. Thu 6/9.
