Dennis Kucinich had his biggest primary wins this weekend, placing third in two states beating General Wesley Clark, Senator John Edwards and the Reverend Al Sharpton. But will it be enough to keep his momentum? And how many delegates is Kucinich expected to pick up before the Democratic convention? Kucinich press secretary William Russell Pitt told Cool Cleveland exclusively "It's been a fantastic weekend - two contests in a row on both coasts, we have shown very strongly and are looking forward to the convention," referring to Dennis' 8% win in Washington and 15% win in Maine, his highest numbers yet in the campaign.

Kucinich is well respected among west coast laborers and environmentalists. He marched with them during the Seattle WTO protests and has not backed down on his promise to cancel NAFTA, the WTO, and to base trade on workers' rights. "Washington hasn't forgotton Dennis since 1999," remarked Campaign manager Dot Maver, who expects Kucinich to gain more support with the west coast races. "We expect to do very well in the Oregon and California contests also. The results in Washington are a positive sign of the support that is waiting to show itself as this primary season continues. Between the results out of Washington, and the spectacular results of the 20/20/20 fundraiser, it is clear that the American people support the Dennis Kucinich campaign. They support Kucinich because he will get our soldiers out of Iraq. They support Kucinich because he will end the for-profit health care system in America and create a not-for-profit single payer universal health care plan. They support Kucinich because he will cancel NAFTA and the WTO, and rebuild our manufacturing base in America." The campaign also hopes that his positive showings might be reported in the media. "We're hopeful that the virtual media blackout that we've been working under will be lifted," said Pitt. from Cool Cleveland contributor Charlene Coates
