John Kerry for President. Because President George W. Bush has enacted tax refunds and fiscal policies that have driven up record deficits, and successfully gotten us out of a recession that would have slipped into a depression. Do you not understand economics? Or are you so blinded by class warfare that you swallow the 'give money back to the rich' propaganda?
because he has shown he would stack Stack is used here pejoratively
the Supreme Court with ultra-conservative It is FAR preferred to have justices who interpret the constitution strictly rather than liberally. Liberal decisions erode our values and our behaviors. Doubt this? Just look at out-of-wedlock births, the end of the Black family in America, et al.
Justices (up to four may be nominated by the next President), because he has squandered American treasure Do you mean money? If so, money is to be spent for the greater good. President Bush is doing so.
and blood on a disingenuous This is Michael Moore think and has been and is being demonstrated as being fallicious and self-serving.
and distracting war on Iraq instead of al Qaeda If you think al Qaeda is not part of Iraq, you should read "Shadow War" before you going around saying ill-informed things like this.,
because his administration has used the USA Patriot Act to reduce American freedoms, This is possibly true and certainly something to keep an eye on. However, at the moment, there is not even ONE accusation of this through the courts and therefore not one example of it being true. This is a scare tactic of the DNC to whip up liberals.
because of his ineffectual healthcare and drug coverage policies that have left millions at risk, This is an intentionally non-specific and therefore totally unfounded statement replete with emotional bias. If any person during the course of the year is without medical insurance, they are counted in the yearly totals regardless of whether or not they NOW have insurance. Also, these figures are derived from EMPLOYED workers and do not take into consideration those folks who are self-insured. When I quit the television business and started my own business, I was "without health insurance" although I was 100% covered by my wife's policy.
and because he's squandered the USA's international power Totally not true. We are still strong and well respected by those who matter. Squandered is the wrong word, anyway.
and standing through a unilateral foriegn policy, Because France and Germany (who were part of the oil for food scandal and the sale of arms to Iraq in spite of the UN Sanctioned boycott) chose not to be part of our coalition does not mean we have a unilateral policy. Regardless of what Mr. Kerry might say.
he doesn't deserve a second term. Of course he deserves a second term.
John Kerry's extensive experience, Name specifically the elements of this specific experience. It is certainly not to be found in his embarrassing 20 year Senate voting record and I don't count betraying his fellow soldiers during the Senate hearings 35 years ago experience that qualifies him to lead this country.
personal toughness, Are you kidding? He wimped out of 'Nam after only 4 months using suspect and self-inflicted injuries to do so. A real man (and there were many in 'Nam) would have returned to stand alongside his compatriots, not denegrate them to the world in order to create a launching platform for a future in politics. You doubt this? Then explain why Kerry made movies of re-enacted 'exploits' showing him Rambo-like marching through the jungle. And while you're at it, explain why he then showed (per the Boston Globe) those films innumerable times to reporters and others.
universal respect There is NO evidence that ANYBODY ANYWHERE respects this man. He has no record, no sense of humor, and no interest in the common person.
and collaborative leadership style This is how people without principles and convictions behave.
are vastly preferred in a post-9/11 world Yes. Al Qaeda and Yasser Arafat prefer that John Kerry be the president. That alone should be enough to bring you to your senses. I'm surprised that you would include this emotionally-based plea to vote for any politician, much less John Kerry, in an email that obstensibly is trying to be a legitimate business missive. Your blatant and unthinking position has made me wonder if I need to read anything you send in the future and I am certainly wondering if I should believe it. As a serious business person who is relying on a universe of unseen people, you should keep your personal opinions to yourself. This election is NOT a crisis for the majority of Americans. It is only a crisis for liberals who are beginning to see that increasingly they stand alone with their out-of-sync positions. Imagine, stabbing a 9 month old fetus in the head with scissors with the full intent of killing it and then believing that to be an acceptable way to behave!
