This is our last best chance to strengthen the arts and culture industry in Cuyahoga County. With world-class arts like the Cleveland Orchestra and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, it's bitterly ironic that Cleveland is the largest city in the US that doesn't yet have public funding for the arts. On election day, Tue 11/7, you can vote on Issue 18, which would raise $20 million a year for 10 years for non-profit arts groups. This month, check out Arts and Culture Day and Free Night of Theatre and then vote absentee to protect our region's greatest assets. –Thomas Mulready

On Cool Cleveland
I just wanted to herald what you are doing through CC to promote Cleveland and to keep people engaged in all that is happening. Also, thank you for running Eric Fingerhut’s piece in this morning’s issue. I know I’m preaching to the choir when I tell you that arts and cultural institutions have made a real difference for Cleveland through the city’s good and bad times.
