Privacy and Spam @ The City Club 6/3

The packed house at the City Club was able to learn about the latest legal issues and the best e-mail marketing practices. It was appropriate whether you wanted to cut down the amount of e-junkmail you received at your desk or the best way to get your message out without offending a potential customer. The presentations were well organized, open for free discussion, and had a spirit of community service. In other words, there was no selling. They covered the legal and current legislative issues, technical tools, and best practices. Imagine my surprise when a SPAM survey on a recent email campaign for an event I organized, showed that I was technically a spammer. (BTW, Cool Cleveland?.com is NOT a spammer, per the same quiz). Kudos to Dan Rose of Precision Dialogue for putting together an excellent program. This was cool information offered in a cool way with a cool motive. from Cool Cleveland contributor Steve Goldberg steveg@ieee.org (:divend:)
