"Everything has been made easy for me since then."
"It laid the groundwork for me as I went to other colleges." He went on to Wayne State College in Detroit and he hasn't looked back. Except to join with his fellow alums at regular get-togethers.

Dan Fernandez took advantage of an innovative program Tri-C has with Berklee College of Music in Boston. You can take classes at Tri-C, even in high school, and your credits will transfer. “All my Tri-C credits would transfer to Berklee, so technically, I would be going in there as a junior.”
“I applied to Berklee in Boston, and I got in.” But the networking opportunities that Tri-C offered him in Northeast Ohio changed his mind.
“I decided to stay in Cleveland. I got to know a lot of people while I was at Tri-C.” So this fall, he'll be studying at Cleveland State University.

He was obviously digging the Alumni party: "If you can pan over that way, there are meatballs there, and I specifically asked them for those..."

"I had to get busy again. So Tri-C was it." Her Tri-C experience helped her meet people and network in the industry.
"I studied theatre. What that did for me was it just opened up my personality, and allowed me to get back with people again."

Although she already had a Masters degree, Sandy Touschner was downsized, and realized that she still had to keep her skills up to date. So she enrolled in Tri-C's Health Information Technology program.
"They were just wonderful from the beginning. The Tri-C professionals just treated me so well. They welcomed me with open arms and just helped me get up and running."
Now, she just took her mid-term, and she already has her dream job teaching medical records all over the country. "It’s something I’ve worked hard for all my life, and Tri-C has helped me get there."
She's enjoying a Tri-C Alumni & Friends event at a tailgate party before a recent Cleveland Browns game. And she digs being a member: "I got that bumper sticker in the mail, and I put it on my car." Tri-C.edu/alumni

"I went through an accelerated mid-life crisis. I was 37 years old and I thought, why not now? It’s never too late to learn."
Michael is also a veteran and took advantage of the VREP (Veterans Re-Entry Education Program) to take college credit on the government's dime. Now he's planning on taking a 2-year Associates degree in Information Technology. "There’s a huge demand right now."
