On United Way's Worldwide Day of Action, volunteers are cleaning up schools in Alabama and weeding gardens in Montana. Here in Cleveland, a team of partners are helping to Stuff The Bus With Books.

At a recent Cleveland Indians game, and for the past few weeks, they've been collecting over 11,000 books with the help of 30 organizations and stuffing an RTA bus full. All the books go to students in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District's Summer Learning Program. Bill Kitson, president and CEO of United Way of Greater Cleveland tells us all about it.

For the first time in 100 years, United Way of Greater Cleveland did not set a goal for their annual campaign. But that didn't stop them from breaking last year's total by a half a million dollars.

CoolCleveland's Thomas Mulready caught up with United Way's President and CEO Bill Kitson, along with Paul Matsen, Cleveland Clinic's Chief Marketing Officer and co-chair of this year's campaign at their huge annual meeting.

With a renewed focus on Education, Income and Health, the new United Way helps the community find ways to give, advocate and volunteer to help others in need.
