SPONSORED: Strange Culture Steve Kurtz came to national and international attention in 2004 when he reported the death of his wife, Hope Kurtz. He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of bioterrorism. Kurtz will speak Fri 3/20 at 2:15PM at CIA, 11141 East Blvd. Kurtz is the subject of Leeson's documentary Strange Culture, which tells the bizarre tale of how an artist, in possession of recognizably benign bacteria used in museum and gallery exhibits, became the target of a criminal investigation driven by the U.S. Patriot Act. Kurtz is a noted artist and founding member of the Critical Art Ensemble. This event has no admission fee and is open to the public. Info: www.cia.edu.
